An annual meeting is held at varying locations around Great Britain and Ireland. Papers and Posters are invited for inclusion in the conference. The Arnold Huddart Medal was established in 1990 for the encouragement of original and promising research papers and is awarded at the conference.

Research awards are available to members of the Society to fund or part fund research projects. More than one grant may be awarded annually up to the maximum amount set each year.

The Council will provide advice and comment on matters as they arise. The Council meets formally twice a year, but the President can be contacted by email at any time. A newsletter is circulated to members, and these are archived for members on the website.

An archive of conference material is available to members on the website.

A membership Directory is available in the members section of the website.

Persons with appropriate professional qualifications, with a special interest in cleft lip and palate, may apply for Ordinary Membership. Council has to approve all membership applications. Please complete the application form and return to the Secretary. The Society also aks you to enclose a letter from an existing member of the Society to support your application. If a supporting letter cannot be obtained a current Curriculum Vitae should be sent.

The current subscription is to be found on the application form and the subscription year runs from October 1st.

It is helpful to the Society if those members with a sterling bank account could pay by direct debit. Otherewise payment is by cheque or bankers draft to "The Craniofacial Society of Great Britain and Ireland"

Beside Ordinary membership the Society also has Senior, Life and Honorary Membership classifications. Senior Membership is available for those retiring, who have been a member for at least five years. Senior Members are not required to pay the annual subscription.

The purpose of the Society is defined in the Memorandum of Association.

The membership application form can be reached from this link. You may complete it on-line or off-line and then should be forwarded to the Administrative Secretariat at The Royal College of Surgeons.

Membership process:

  1. Send your completed application form to the Admninistrative Secretariat with a completed direct debit form (UK Sterling accounts only - non-Sterling payments please send a Sterling Bankers Draft or cheque) for the membership fee. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope if you require a receipt and ensure a member of the Society, who has been a member for at least one year, signs the form in support of your membership.
